The bridge on Macedonia Road over Noses Creek in the Powder Springs area will be closed for about three months.
Weather permitting, this bridge replacement over Noses Creek will begin Oct. 8 until an estimated completion date of Jan. 6.
This closure to through traffic will involve the intersections of Hopkins Road to Barrett Parkway.
Drivers should follow the posted detour signs, reduce their speed and exercise caution in the area, according to a statement by the Cobb County Department of Transportation which is coordinating the project.
The construction project is slated for completion in May 2019.
