The Powder Springs City Council voted unanimously to spend almost $106,771 on seven projects:

  • no more than $37,000 to include $28,455 to Brannen Motor Co. of Unadilla for a 2017 Ford Interceptor utility police vehicle and nearly $7,881 to ProLogic ITS for equipment.
  • $25,000 more to Woolpert Inc. to perform smoke testing and dye flood testing on the sanitary sewer system in the downtown area to detect inflow, leaks and defects.
  • $22,527 to Ardito Construction Co. Inc. to modify and improve the handicap-accessible ramp at City Hall.
  • $8,800 to Cardiotronix to provide inspection and maintenance services for 40 automated external defibrillators over the next three years.
  • $7,309 to Ardito Construction Co. Inc. to repair a section of sidewalk on Macedonia Road that was damaged by tree roots.
  • $6,000 to Rapid Electronic Notification System to establish, support and maintain the city's emergency communication system that uses email, telephone, text and other messaging formats to provide 24-hour notification, alerting and flow of critical information.
  • $134.85 monthly payment to Comcast to provide communication and Internet access for the brown building at 3899 Brownsville Road in Powder Springs Park that will be used by the Parks and Recreation Department and as office incubator space.
