UPDATE: Hudson Grille passed a re-inspection Tuesday with an 88/B.

The restaurant was dinged for storing hand washing soap above bread near a sink and for failure to hold food, such as chicken, spare ribs, guacamole and cut tomatoes, cold enough. The report also noted “some flies presence in the facility.

ORIGINAL (June 8, 2018): A popular downtown Atlanta sports bar has failed a health inspection, Fulton County records show.

Hudson Grille on Marietta Street got a score of 57 on May 31. Scores below 70 are considered failing.

Violations included a build up of slime in the interior of the ice machine, sauces not held cold enough and small flying insects in the bar area.

The location’s prior score, from October, was a 90.

In an email to Channel 2 Action News after the inspection, owner Metrotainment Cafes said Hudson Grille “takes the health and safety of our staff and guests very seriously.”

“Presently we are internally reviewing what lead to the health inspection score and will be correcting every single issue, and we are planning to have the restaurant re-inspected as soon as possible,” the statement said.

Hudson Grille has multiple locations in Atlanta.
