Since Nov. 1, a Paulding County man has been on the run from police in Woodstock, where he allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant.

On Monday, 24-year-old Antonio Bernard Williams was arrested, but not for the Woodstock crime.

Around 8 p.m., Williams apparently carjacked a large, white van from a parking lot on South Cobb Drive, according to Officer Joe Hernandez with Cobb County police. Williams, who was armed, fled the scene.

The van was later spotted by a Cobb sheriff's deputy off of Franklin Road, near South Marietta Parkway, Hernandez said. Williams ran, but was later apprehended.

Williams, of Dallas, was charged with hijacking a motor vehicle, armed robbery and various weapons charges, Hernandez said. In addition, there was an outstanding warrant for Williams for the Cherokee County robbery, according to Sgt. Paul Brown with Woodstock police.

Williams remained in the Cobb County jail without bond Thursday night.
