Cobb County police are investigating a liquor store robbery that occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday in Mableton.

An unidentified man came into Plaza Liquors at 6200 Mableton Parkway as the clerk was closing the business and forced the clerk to hand over cash from the register. He fled on foot toward a nearby Chevron gas station.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-7-inch-tall black male with medium build. His 1-inch-long hair was twisted into small sections and he wore a black nylon jacket and dark pants. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Cobb police at 770-499-3945.
