Police are searching for a shooter who killed a man and critically injured another shortly after the victims closed their southwest Atlanta store.

The men were in a car outside Southern Grocery in the 1000 block of Westview Drive when two people in another vehicle approached them Sunday night, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Brown said.

One of the men shot into the victims’ car.

When officers arrived, they found the driver dead in his seat and the passenger in critical condition, Brown said. The passenger was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office identified the driver as Saiful Bhuyia, 36, of Dunwoody.

Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation, Brown said.
