Police nab Conyers bank robbery suspect after chase

Police in Conyers chased the lone suspect of a bank robbery to an auto supply store Wednesday.

The armed robbery occurred around 3 p.m. at a Georgia's Own Credit Union on Sigman Road, Jennifer Edwards, a spokeswoman for the Conyers Police Department, told the AJC.

Police in cruisers chased the suspect to an Auto Zone store on Ga. 138.

"There were shots fired, but no injuries," Edwards said.

The identity of the suspect was not immediately available.
