More than a handful of restaurants and businesses in Marietta were busted selling booze to minors, police said.

The Marietta Police Department conducted an “alcohol compliance check” on March 14.

Police said the buyers didn’t use fake IDs or misrepresent themselves in any way — the business owners simply failed to check IDs.

“An undercover officer escorts a an underage adult into the business and witnesses the sale to underage adult,” Officer Kelah Wallace, a spokeswoman for Marietta police, said.

The following Marietta businesses were cited selling to minors:

Ruby Tuesday, located at 2435 Delk Road

Shell Food Mart, located at 850 Sandy Plains Road

Chevron Food Mart, located at 1023 Sandy Plains Road

Quick Mart, located at 690 Cherokee Street

Marietta Diner, located at 306 Cobb Parkway South

Fairground Food Mart, located at 619 North Fairground Street
