Gwinnett County police are looking for additional information about a man suspected of multiple sexual crimes.
Syed Hasan Abidi, 31, was arrested and charged March 4 with rape and aggravated sodomy based on a separate case, police said Friday.
Police believe Abidi used craigslist.com and backpage.com to advertise opportunities for teenage girls. Authorities believe he was attempting to lure young women into situation of prostitution and rape, according to the press release.
Abidi was additionally charged with two counts of pandering, two counts of pimping, and one count of criminal attempt to commit human trafficking.
Gwinnett County police, Norcross police and the FBI are looking for information on any additional victims or witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call the Gwinnett police tip line at 770-962-6272.
