Police: Jonesboro man shot and killed

Clayton County police are investigating the homicide of a Jonesboro man found Monday at 1 p.m.

Michael Phillips, 27, was discovered after police officers responded to a “person shot” call in the 7300 block of Bridlewood Court in Jonesboro, police said.

Phillips had been shot and was unresponsive, police said. Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services responded and determined that Philips was dead.
