A 54-year-old man was hit Tuesday while trying to cross Moreland Avenue at I-285, according to a DeKalb County police spokesman.
The man, who allegedly failed to use crosswalks, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital just after the accident at about 5:30 a.m., DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore said.
The victim, in critical condition, was charged with failing to use the crosswalks and being under the influence of alcohol, Fore said. The driver was not charged.
