Watch out for potential road closures and pedestrian traffic related to planned marches in downtown Atlanta this weekend.
While police say they have no plans to close roads yet, demonstrators are expected Saturday.
The Atlanta Police Department will direct traffic throughout the planned march routes to maintain the safety of the participants, police spokesman Officer Donald Hannah said.
Students from local colleges and universities marched Friday in opposition to the inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States.
Thousands are expected to march from the Center for Civil and Human Rights to the state capitol Saturday.

The "march for social justice and women" is expected to begin at 1 p.m. The exact route is available here.
On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons play the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game at the Georgia Dome at 3 p.m. No road closures are planned, but traffic is expected to be heavy.
“An increased police presence will be visible ... to manage traffic flow from vehicular and pedestrian traffic,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy said. “Consider taking MARTA to these events, or carpooling, to minimize the traffic volume expected in Downtown and Midtown Atlanta.”
