Police arrest armed gunman
Police have caught a suspected armed robber who escaped on foot following a wreck on I-285 East.
A car carrying the alleged thief and an accomplice crashed, with Atlanta police in pursuit, at the Peachtree-Dunwoody exit a little before 2 p.m., closing three right lanes, said Sandy Springs police spokesman Steve Rose.
Police caught the fleeing suspect about 30 minutes later, Rose said. The other suspect was detained at the scene of the wreck.
