A pedestrian was in critical condition Monday after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Glenwood Road in Atlanta.
The adult male was hit during the morming on a stretch of Glenwood between I-285 and Covington Highway, according to Channel 2 Action News.
The Atlanta Police Department said a motorist was traveling east when the man stepped in front of the vehicle. He was not in the crosswalk.
The driver remained at the scene, and police said it did not appear that speed was a factor.
The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
