Kristina Blum, Chief Magistrate Judge for Gwinnett County and a Peachtree Corners resident, administered the oath office Tuesday night for the city’s first new city councilmember since the city was formed July 1, 2012. Eric Christ, representing Post 2 joins the city’s first and current mayor and five city councilmembers.
Christ was elected to the Post 2 seat in a special election held May 24. The council seat became vacant when former councilmember Jay Lowe resigned in March to run for a seat in the Georgia House of Representatives.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the City Council,” said Christ. “I look forward to serving all of my Post 2 neighbors.”
