The Peachtree Corners City Council voted in December to authorize the city manager to acquire the professional services of a firm to provide lobbying and legislative representation services that protect and promote the city’s interests before the Georgia General Assembly and other State of Georgia governmental bodies.

According to city officials no formal request has been made to hire a lobbyist yet and the idea, while approved, is still premature. The city anticipates further discussions on the matter at the next city council meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at City Hall, 147 Technology Parkway, Suite 200.
