The Peachtree Corners City Council voted Tuesday to amend the alcoholic beverages ordinance to limit liquor stores to C-2 and C-3 commercial zoning districts. The amendment requires a 3,000-foot minimum distance between liquor stores and does not allow them within 300 feet of churches and 600 feet of schools.
Liquor stores may not sell lottery tickets, magazines or tobacco, except high-quality cigars. Hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12:30 to 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.
