The City Council of Peachtree City on Thursday unanimously rejected a developer’s request to consider annexing 100 acres for a new subdivision. Chadwick Homes wanted to build single-family houses on half-acre lots, which would be accessible from Dogwood Trail on the city’s north edge. Several residents of the adjacent Kedron Hills spoke out against the plan, citing concerns about land use density and increased traffic. Council member Terry Ernst called the project “the wrong thing at the wrong time.”
