The City Council of Peachtree City gave its approval recently to a preliminary request for annexation by Starr’s Mill Academy. The preschool and daycare center, which occupies 6.7 acres on Ga. Hwy. 74 South opposite the Starr’s Mill school complex, wants to be connected to the city’s sewer and cart path systems.
The center is adjacent to the new Gates subdivision, which is inside the city limits. With the council’s 4-0-1 approval (Phil Prebor recused himself), the application will now go to the Peachtree City Planning Commission for more detailed review and further public hearings.
