Peachtree City’s library will reopen to the public on May 19, but with reduced hours at first. The initial schedule will be 2-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Social distancing precautions will be in effect, and the number of people allowed inside the building will be limited. The library will be closed Sundays and Mondays. Meanwhile, the outdoor book drop boxes are now open for returning materials. The boxes will be emptied regularly, and materials should not be left outside the library if the boxes are full. No fines or fees will accrue on materials that were due during the public safety closure. Book donations are still not being accepted at this time.

For additional service, the library has a virtual reference platform called “Ask PTC Library” at peachtree-city.libanswers.com, which allows patrons to text, email or chat with staff regarding library operations and services.
