While the stalled tropical storm worsens conditions in Texas after Hurricane Harvey, in metro Atlanta conditions are dry with partly cloudy skies — and the humidity is even down a bit, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Katie Walls.

Meteorologist Brian Monahan said more tornado warnings were issued for people east of Houston, Texas, in Sugar Land.

The volume of rain that has already fallen in Houston is equal to the devastating flood from Allison in 2001, already measured 24 feet Sunday morning, meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Some of the cloud cover Atlantans see comes from Harvey, but rain isn’t expected in Georgia until Wednesday, when we see a 20 percent chance of rain, Walls said.

Currently, the temperature in Atlanta is 82 degrees. The high for the day is 85 degrees, Channel 2 reported.

Monday’s high uis in the low 80s at 82 degrees and temps through the week are expected to stay in the mid to low 80s.
