A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Tuesday for the Oak Hill Child, Adolescent and Family Center.

The center, located at 2805 Metropolitan Parkway S.W., will focus on reducing health disparities among children and youth.  An emphasis will be placed on prevention and wellness, early childhood development, fitness, nutrition and youth employment.

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved a $5.4 million bond awarded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act  to renovate the 64 -year-old, 22-acre campus. The renovation is expected to be finished later this year.

In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the education building of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church,  2840 Metropolitan Parkway S.W.
