One person was killed early Thursday in a northwest Atlanta shooting that police said might have been drug-related.

The shooting happened about 1 a.m. inside a duplex in the 2300 block of Perry Boulevard, Atlanta police Lt. Keith Meadows said.

Meadows said an unknown number of suspects entered the home and fired five or six shots.

Larry Webb, 31, was shot and died at the scene.

Meadows said investigators believe the victim might have known his attacker, as there were no signs of forced entry into the home.

“We haven’t ruled out the possibility that drugs played a part in this attack, as we found a small amount of drugs inside the residence,” Meadows said.

He said detectives were interviewing another man who was upstairs when Webb was shot, but had not found any witnesses to the shooting.
