The permanent name has been announced for a Fulton County campus that has temporarily housed another school for the past year.
The recently-constructed building at Ga. 9 and Thomas Drive has been the temporary home of Esther Jackson Elementary School during the 2015-2016 school year.
In the fall, Esther Jackson and its students will move back to a rebuilt campus at 1400 Martin Road and the Ga. 9 school will become Vickery Mill Elementary with a newly-designed attendance zone and a student body of up to 850 ranging from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
The Fulton County Board of Education approved the change at its May 10 work session.
