Norcross looking to extend Cemetery Street

The Norcross City Council voted this month to approve a request for a joint study with the Atlanta Regional Commission to extend South Cemetery Street from its present end, just east of Buford Highway, to Mitchell Road. City officials anticipate the extension of South Cemetery Road to provide better access within the Norcross Activity Center, part of the city’s Livable Cities Initiative.

If the request for the grant is approved, the Atlanta Regional Commission will pay for 80 percent of the cost of the study with Norcross providing the remaining 20 percent of funding.
