The Norcross City Council voted Monday to convert the former Norcross High School football field into a soccer complex. The approved project calls for $1.6 million for construction, although the city is asking the contractor to agree to complete the work for a flat fee of $1.5 million.

The soccer facility at Price Place off Beaver Ruin Road will include a concession area, restrooms and field house. Construction will be paid for by SPLOST funds. Soccer associations using the completed field will pay a monthly fee to use the complex as well as manage the field.
