Norcross accepting applications for Citizens’ Police Academy

The Norcross Police Department is hosting a 10-week Citizens’ Police Academy that will focus on understanding police department operations and enhanced partnerships within the community. Classes will meet 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each Thursday evening from April 12 through June 7 at Norcross City Hall, 65 Lawrenceville St.

The Citizens’ Police Academy topics will include crime prevention, personal safety, patrol operations, drug enforcement, investigations, administration, internal affairs, complaints, CPR, first aid, traffic stops, HERO unit and the legal process.
