Continuing repaving activity will require overnight lane closures this week on Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek and Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.

Weather permitting, single lane closures are planned for the southbound middle lane of Medlock Bridge (Ga. 141) nightly through Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following mornings, GDOT said. Crews will start at the Forsyth County line and work south to the Gwinnett County line.

“If the work conditions remain ideal, crews may begin working in the middle lane northbound by the end of the week,” GDOT said.

Meanwhile, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings through Thursday, “rolling” lane closures are planned for Holcomb Bridge (Ga. 140) between Mansell Road and the Gwinnett line, GDOT said.

“Crews have completed patching and will now begin milling and resurfacing the intersections and right-turn lanes,” GDOT said. “As work is complete in one area, the crews and lane closures will ‘roll’ to the next area.”

Crews are resurfacing about 5.5 miles of Medlock Bridge and 6.7 miles of Holcomb Bridge in North Fulton County. Both projects are expected to be completed in late February, 2020.
