Nightly lane closures set for Ga. 9 in North Fulton
Overnight lane closures are scheduled through the weekend for West Peachtree Street (Ga. 9) and connecting streets from Midtown Atlanta to Sandy Springs in North Fulton County, as workers prepare the road for resurfacing, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.
Alternating lane closures are planned for Ga. 9 between Northside Drive and Deering Road, and between Carpenter and Pharr roads, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday and Sunday, GDOT said. The closures ensure safety for drivers and workers as patching takes place at key intersections and in turn lanes.
The work is part of a milling, inlay, patching and resurfacing and restriping project affecting West Peachtree, Peachtree Road and Roswell Road from Northside Drive in Atlanta to Lake Placid Drive in Sandy Springs.
