Nightly single lane closures are required to allow for painting of the steel bridge on the Interstate 985 bridge that goes over Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch.
The lane closures will occur on Spout Springs Road between the I-985 southbound ramps and the I-985 northbound ramps 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. through May 19. Drivers are reminded to pay attention, slow down and watch for workers.
The project is part of GDOT’s Spouts Spring Road widening project from Hog Mountain Road to New Friendship Road. The proposed improvements include improved lanes, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, greater road access management, better roadway curvature to enhance safety, and turn lanes where needed for safer roadway operations.
