Overnight lane closure involving up to two lanes at a time have been announced for Ga. 400 as part of the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange reconstruction in the top-end Perimeter area of North Fulton and DeKalb counties.

The closures are 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, weather permitting, as crews do utility work on the Mount Vernon Highway bridge, the Georgia Department of Transportation said.

Closures are planned now through Thursday, Dec. 6, for two left lanes of northbound Ga. 400 between Hammond Drive and Abernathy Road; and from Wednesday, Dec. 5 through Thursday for two left lanes of southbound Ga. 400 between Hammond and Mount Vernon.

A closure affecting an unspecified number of lanes is planned for Friday, Dec. 7 through Saturday, Dec. 8, on northbound Ga. 400 between Hammond and Abernathy, GDOT said.

In other work, traffic pacing is planned for equipment moves from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Thursday for eastbound I-285 between Roswell and Peachtree Dunwoody roads; while one southbound and one northbound lane of Glenridge Drive under I-285 will be closed the same overnight hours through Thursday as crews relocate a sewer line.
