The Stockbridge City Council voted to approve Swanson Towing for the city’s towing and wrecker services.

The action took place Feb. 19 during the council’s recent three-day retreat. As part of the approved plan, city officials will print postcards and initiate a mail-out to the entire city to begin a 60-day warning notice period. There will be a six-month trial period for the new services, followed by a community town hall meeting to evaluate the program.

This was the only official voting action that took place at the retreat, although information was given on a wide variety of city initiatives.
