A subdivision of new homes is sprouting up in Avondale Estates.

The community, called “Avondale East,” will eventually have 55 single-family homes, according to a statement from real estate firm Re/Max. It is located off Rockbridge Road, just outside the city center of Avondale Estates.

Some of the homes currently available range in cost from around $500,000 to $650,000. Developers recently announced a series of new designs for homes that are under construction, costing from the high $400,000s. They range in size from 2,000 to 2,600 square feet.

The homes feature “open concepts” and craftsman-inspired architecture, Re/Max said.

According to a map of the subdivision, the neighborhood will include several dozen homes on new streets south of Rockbridge Road, and a future phase of homes north of Rockbridge. It is located adjacent to DeKalb Elementary School of the Arts.
