Stockbridge officials announced a special event for May 12 at 5 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall to introduce to the community Advanced Protective Services, the private security company contracted by the city to supplement the Henry County Police Department’s coverage of the city.
The decision to partner with the firm was made amid many months of contentious negotiations with Henry County to continue its police services agreement. Stockbridge is the only city in the county without its own police department.
