The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Dec. 17 regular meeting to approve the acceptance of 34 new roads in more than a dozen subdivisions, adding up to more than six and a half miles of roadway.
The county road system grows each year as new roadways are laid out within subdivisions, and official acceptance of these roads by county commissioners is required by the Georgia Department of Transportation. The board also approved the acquisition of three separate parcels of right-of-way, temporary easement and permanent easement for the ongoing expansion of West Village Parkway.
Both actions were part of the consent agenda and the vote was unanimous.
