A new retail shop aimed toward outdoorsy types is opening in Ponce City Market.

American Field, founded by Atlanta native Mark Bollman, will be located around the corner from High Mountain Outfitters at 675 Ponce De Leon Ave. Another brand founded by Bollman, Ball and Buck, will be featured in the shop as a pop-up through the holidays.

American Field has hosted two-day pop-up events in cities including Boston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. since 2012. The store will have items such as Bloody Mary mix from Atlanta-based Sister’s Sauce, artwork and outerwear designed to withstand the elements.

A grand opening party will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Garden & Gun Club will serve small bites and Sister's Sauce will provide tastings. The event is free and open to the public, and guests can RSVP here.

For more information, call the shop at 617-242-1776.
