New mural unveiled in Peachtree City

Dec 5, 2017A new mural depicting life in Peachtree City was unveiled Dec. 1 outside the Books-A-Million store at The Avenue shopping center.
Andrew Moth, the center’s general manager, said the painting was commissioned by Poag Shopping Centers to be a community focal point. Artist Shannon Lake, a Georgia native, completed the 30-foot-long mural in 12 days. City Council members Kim Learnard, Terry Ernst and Mike King were on hand for the ceremony, as were representatives from other city and Fayette County entities.
Moth said the mural was treated with a special sealant to help protect and preserve the artwork.
