New lane opens on Ga. 20 this morning

The widening of Ga. 20 marked a milestone this morning with the opening of a second eastbound lane from Ozora Road to Brand Road near Loganville.

Paving continues on westbound lanes, and lane closures and traffic shifts will continue. The state Department of Transportation is widening Ga. 20 to four lanes from Ozora to Brand at an estimated cost of $10.9 million.
