The murder trial for Ashley Schutt in Gwinnett County will continue into its second week on Monday, prosecutors said.

Schutt is accused of killing her husband, Gregory Schutt, 30, in the July 2009 and trying to pass off his death as a result of a home invasion.

Schutt reportedly told police that intruders stabbed her husband and sexually assaulted her. However, investigators believe she was the one who stabbed her husband more than 30 times, slit his wrists and throat and bashed him with a hammer, possibly while he was asleep.
