Fellow church members mourned Sunday the loss of two Dacula brothers who died from injuries sustained in a Friday car wreck, as a drive to raise money for the teenagers' family generated more than $20,000 in donations.

Jared and Jaison Brown were headed to Dacula High School when the crash occurred Friday morning. The Honda Accord they were traveling in collided with a Chrysler PT Cruiser while attempting to turn left on Harbins Road from Ga. 316, police have said.

Jared, 17, died shortly after the crash. Jaison, 15, died Friday evening, Gwinnett County police said.

A police investigation of the wreck is ongoing.

Channel 2 Action News attended Sunday morning services at Lawrenceville Church of God, where members of the congregation mourned the popular teens.

“We have to put our faith in God and put our trust in him, even when we don’t understand,” Pastor Kevin Harris said, according to Channel 2.

A GoFundMe account has been created to raise money to aid the family. As of about 1 p.m., the account has raised received donations from more than 490 people.

A football game between rivals Dacula and Archer High, known as the "Battle of 316," was moved from Friday night to Saturday. Normally a high-intensity contest between two nearby rivals, the schools used the game to help bring the community together, including a banner reading "316 United."

Both schools are located near Ga. 316.
