Street resurfacing crews will return to Ga. 9 in North Fulton County this weekend, closing alternating right and left lanes through the overnight hours at various locations from Northside Drive in Atlanta to I-285 in Sandy Springs.

Weather permitting, the work is scheduled for 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday and Sunday, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Crews will be closing lanes of Ga. 9, known as West Peachtree Street in Midtown, Peachtree Road in Buckhead, and Roswell Road from Buckhead to Sandy Springs, as they raise manholes along the newly paved roadway, GDOT said.

“The closures will provide safety for workers and drivers,” GDOT said. “Residents in the area should expect some noise related to the work.”

The work is part of a milling, inlay, patching, resurfacing and restriping project. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use detours indicated by signage. Information: https://bit.ly/2GjiG9Z
