Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 29, located at 2167 Monroe Dr., will remain closed at least until mid-August. Capt. J.L. Bunridge, a spokesman for Fire Rescue said the station closed on June 23 for repairs, including removing traces of asbestos from the floors.
In the meantime, in the event of a fire, the area that the station monitored will be handled by trucks from Station 3 at Phipps and Station 11 at Atlantic Station.
