A Power Springs 9-year-old who was upset about a bad grade and disappeared after school Thursday was found safe, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Satori Tufts left the school bus and walked off with a friend in the Lost Lakes Subdivision around 2:45 p.m., police said. Authorities went door-to-door searching the area.

"The darker it got, the more it seemed like I wasn't going to be able to find her," her father, Dennis Tufts, told Channel 2.

Just before 7 p.m., neighbor Collett Howard saw Satori and then read about the search via Twitter, the report said.

"I'm just glad I could help," Howard told Channel 2.
