Milton city officials will conduct a ribbon-cutting to officially debut the next phase of Bell Memorial Park. It’s set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday at 15245 Bell Park Road.

The ceremony will mark the reopening of the facility for baseball, football and lacrosse programs from 4 p.m. until closing on weekdays and all day for recreational use Saturday and Sunday. The newly-expanded park has four diamond fields for baseball, plus two rectangular layouts for football and lacrosse. The expansion increased the size from 18 acres-with four baseball fields-to a 36-acre multi-use facility.

Work will continue through the fall to finish up trail and maintenance portions of the park.

The $9.4 million project was designed by the Forsite Group and constructed by the Astra Group, Inc.
