A widening of Morris Road, a Northeast Crabapple Connector and various intersection and pedestrian improvements are among possible transportation projects assigned top priority recently by the Milton City Council.
The Council recently approved a list of projects to be funded if voters approve a 0.75-cent Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax in November. Milton expects to receive $36.5 million over the five-year life of the TSPLOST if it passes.
Projects given top priority besides Morris and the Crabapple Connector included intersection work at Charlotte and Mayfield roads, Freemanville and Birmingham roads, Ga. 140/Arnold Mill Road at Green Road, and Hopewell Road at Bethany Bend/Way, Thompson and Hamby roads. Pedestrian work also was listed.
Second priority went to intersection work at Bethany and Providence roads and Freemanville and Redd roads, as well as additional pedestrian projects.
Milton’s list now goes to Fulton County to be combined with other communities’ project lists. The TSPLOST vote is for all of Fulton outside the city of Atlanta.
