Milton offers residents multiple ways to recycle their Christmas trees after the holidays.

According to a city announcement on Facebook, Milton will host is annual "Bring One for the Chipper" tree recycling event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Milton High School, 13025 Birmingham Highway. Trees can be dropped off in the parking lot closest to Freemanville Road.

Elsewhere, trees will be accepted through Jan. 4 at Scottsdale Farms Garden Center, 15639 Birmingham Highway, Milton; and through Friday, Jan. 17, at Green Brothers Earth Works, 3445 Francis Road, Alpharetta (just across the Forsyth County line). Both locations will be closed New Year’s Day.

Or, residents who live north of Rucker Road and west of Ga. 400 can have Boy Scout Troop 841 pick up their trees Jan. 4 for a donation of $15 per tree. Residents have until 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, to visit www.t841.org/tree and reserve a pick-up slot.
