A winning ticket was sold in Atlanta for the $71 million Mega Millions jackpot.

The winning numbers -- drawn Tuesday night -- were 10, 22,24, 36 and 49 with a mega ball of 33. A single winning ticket was sold at the Chevron Food Mart, 5851 Buffington Road in southwest Atlanta.

Ten people hit the first five numbers but not the mega ball. Those ticket holders won $250,000.

The Mega Millions jackpot now resets to $12 million.

A man found dead inside a car alongside the Downtown Connector during Wednesday's morning rush hour apparently killed himself, police said.

Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee said the man was found in a vehicle along I-75/85 southbound near University Avenue, dead of a gunshot wound.

"At this time, it appears to be a suicide," Chafee told the AJC. MIKE MORRIS

Nominations are now being accepted for the Georgia Center for Nonprofits' 2012 Revolution Awards.

The annual awards honor individuals and organizations who have created a "revolutionary" change that positively affects the lives of people within their communities.

The winners of the outstanding nonprofit organization and outstanding nonprofit leader will each receive $1,000 that will be donated to their respective nonprofits . The center also added a new category for outstanding board leader. That category does not carry a financial prize.

Nominations are also being accepted for the Evelyn G. Ullman Innovative Leadership Award. The award is given every other year to an outstanding nonprofit leader. The award of $15,000 will be given to the winner's organization. The deadline for  nominations for all awards is Feb. 17. SHELIA POOLE
