Three metro Atlanta Wal-Mart stores were temporarily evacuated Thursday due to bomb threats.

The threats impacted the Wal-Mart store at the Mall at Stonecrest in DeKalb County, another store in the 6000 block of Jonesboro Road in Clayton County and a third location on Howell Mill Road in Atlanta, police told Channel 2 Action News.

“A few Wal-Mart stores were evacuated today for about an hour and a half each after receiving bomb threats,” Wal-Mart spokeswoman Leslee Wright said in a statement. “Police officers were called and swept the stores but found nothing in each case. The affected stores are now open for business.”

The scene at the Howell Mill Wal-Mart was cleared at 2:30 p.m., Channel 2 reported.
