California deputies arrested a 28-year-old metro Atlanta man with a bag of weapons at a train station in Pasadena on Wednesday.

Christopher Goodine of Union City was carrying a duffel bag with a loaded assault rifle, two loaded magazines, a handgun and silencers, Los Angeles County deputies said.

While authorities are not investigating the incident as an act of terrorism, Goodine’s motives remain unknown.

Deputies approached him while Goodine was allegedly urinating in a planter at the metro rail station, ABC 7 reported.

"But for the grace of God, we could have had a tragedy today in Los Angeles," Sheriff Jim McDonnell told the news station.

Deputy Katherine Zubo, who was one of the deputies that detained Goodine, told ABC 7 that she felt relief that they found the bag before anything could happen.

Goodine is being held on $50,000 bail.
