Mega Millions jackpot up to $73 million
The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions lottery jumped to $73 million after no players matched all six numbers in Tuesday night's drawing.
Seven tickets, including one sold in Georgia, matched the first five numbers drawn Tuesday -- 5, 9, 31, 37 and 56 -- but missed the "Mega Ball" of 16. Each of those players won $250,000.
Mega Millions is also played in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington state.
